Watched Moll Flanders with avivahg yesterday.  She enjoyed it, and I was pleased to find that I still liked it.  Finished a lazy sunday with Law and Order: Criminal Intent and the first half of Boston Public.  LaO:CI was particularly creepy this week. 

As I am constantly reminded by the media and livejournal, today is Valentine’s Day.  It’s one of those holidays my family never made a big deal about, but it’s important to avivahg.  Fortunately, she favors an egalitarian approach to the holiday, rather than the traditional abject servitude of the male partner.  Not that there’s anything wrong with that.  But whereas I enjoy doing nice things for the people I love, the moment I feel that I am expected or obligated to do something nice I become entirely contrary. 

So tonight, it’s dinner and live music at The Harp and Fiddle in York for us.  To all those lucky in love this February 14th, I wish you a happy Valentine’s Day; and to those whom cupid has seen fit to pass over this season: don’t sweat it, it’s just another damn day. Look on the bright side, there’ll be lots of chocolate on sale tomorrow.
