“–come up screaming”

It pains me, it really does, to go back on my word. Even (especially?) a word spoken in the heat of pious repentance. But the search for a more suitable venue goes slowly. And man does not live by bread alone, but by every word hammered drunkenly out onto the interwabs at 2 o’clock in the morning.

So, here I am again. In lieu of a new and improved blog free from the entangling snares of pseudoprivacy, I offer this promise to myself, with you my remaining readers as witnesses (both of you): every post from here on out on this journal will be public, without exception. In the unlikely event a post turns out to be unsuitable for a public audience, it will be amended or withdrawn entirely.

Also, I offer these somewhat less rigid intentions: no political blogging unless it involves extended original thought of my own (i.e. no off-the-cuff ranting on current events). No whining unless balanced by an even greater quantity of blessing. And ongoing coverage of my quest to build a real home on the web, so I don’t get too comfortable. Feel free to call me on any of these if I start falling into old habits.

Welcome back, friends. I’ve missed our conversations.

Thank you. It’s nice to feel uncorked.

  2. I’ve got a nice bottle of beer I brought down from Connecticut to split you.

    1. Mmmm, beer. Next time I see you remind me to look up my notes from the MD Microbrewery Fest.

      1. I’m not sure if it got to you, but I’m pretty sure I told Stacy that we found a place where you can buy a decent variety of unique beers by the bottle. It’s called Quick 6 subs and if you get off Mt. rose and goes towards the city it’s only the left about two blocks after Tom’s.

        1. Yeah! I told him. 😉 Last word on that was he is eager to meet this place you mention.

My distaste for politics needs to be reflected in my also ignoring it, methinks.

    1. Angst is better expressed than repressed, but it’s all too easy to substitute public pity for constructive action.

Your comment reminds me, I meant to email you after the last time I saw you at Ascension. I’ll try and remember what about.
