More than the lever is stuck. The TSA is fighting psychology, and it is going to lose.
People are going to forget that we are at “orange” level and revert to their normal behavior. The “user experience” for air travel is sucky, and people will change their behavior to avoid it.
(Mind you, the airlines were doing a pretty good job at sucky user experiences before the TSA.)
As for me, I travel by train when I can. I reduce air travel when possible. I’ve already killed two trips this year, just to avoid the glamour of air travel.
