I love all violets (my birth flower), but this one is exquisite. I love the striations. Can you tell me if it was long-stemmed or short, heart-shaped leaves, a spur or not, and if it was in dry woods or a wetter area? There are so many variations, it can be hard to ID exactly. If you can’t, that’s ok. Here, we have all shades—white, yellow, lavender, purple, pink, and everything in between, as I’m sure you do. Some are very rare. Our lawn is covered with a thick groundcover of the dark purple, which is fine by me! If I had a choice, my whole “lawn” would be violets and all the other shade wildflowers.
