      Make sure the sound is unmuted and the volume is up.

        Your laptop, in it’s “hooked up” state confuses me. Can’t make it work this way. Er, or I don’t know what I’m doing. Either way..

        Being hooked up doesn’t change anything about the audio. You just use your usual volume control.
