Where to see me this month

We’re going to be out and about a fair amount this month, and I thought I’d put up the schedule for anyone who wants to catch up with me and/or the family.

Note: all dates and times subject to last-minute change. Void where prohibted.

Saturday, Sept. 17: Anacker Day at Heathcote. Open stage, games, drumming (watch me make a fool of myself), tour of the farm (see where they grow genuine organic hippies!), dinner. If anyone wanted a chance to see the farm Stacey and I have been talking about lately, this would be a good opportunity.

That night there will also be Drumming in the Light of the Moon at Highland Farm, and if I’m feeling really energetic I may be dropping in at some point after the Annacker Day festivities and before departing for the Renn Fair in the morning. Sleep? Who needs sleep?

Sunday, Sept. 18: We (the whole family) are planning on going to the MD Renn Faire. Huzzah!

Saturday and Sundaym Oct. 1-2: Mother Earth Harvest Fest at Spoutwood Farm. It’s like a fall version of the Fairie Festival, for those who have been to that. Here, I’ll just quote their page:

Environmental and Wildlife Area featuring organizations working hard to save our environment and wild animals

Sustainable Healthcare Area for body, mind and soul featuring holistic practitioners including herbal remedies, acupuncture, massage and more.

Sustainable Agricultural and Livestock exhibits

Alternative energy and shelter exhibits featuring information about solar and wind power, bio-diesel and no-till farming.

Native American Earth connections featuring primitive technology and Native American philosophies

Natural Material, Folk and Recycled Arts and Crafts vendors

Performances by folk musicians, dancers and storytellers

Children’s Hands On Craft Area

Food vendors

This is a really cool event, and I hope some of you can make it. It was a lot of fun last year. I’ll be there at least on Saturday, and possibly Sunday as well. Stacey will be there both days.
