The TSA would not disclose exactly what those items were, but it said they included weapons like ceramic knives and various drugs — including a syringe filled with heroine hidden in a passenger’s underwear.

Notice what’s missing in that list? Anything that could conceivably be used in a terrorist attack on the scale of 9/11 (no one is ever going to successfully hijack a plane with a knife again).
