TSA admits it hasn’t actually prevented any terrorism

“This year alone, the use of advanced imaging technology has led to the detection of over 130 prohibited, illegal or dangerous items,” TSA spokesman Greg Soule told FoxNews.com. The TSA would not disclose exactly what those items were, but it said they included weapons like ceramic knives and various drugs — including a syringe filled with heroine hidden in a passenger’s underwear.

Notice what’s missing in that list? Anything that could conceivably be used in a terrorist attack on the scale of 9/11 (no one is ever going to successfully hijack a plane with a knife again).

This is how the TSA *defends* its overzealous practices: by pointing to a tiny list of confiscations, none of which are relevant to the stated purpose of the agency.
