Though I know this resonates with you, oddly it really speaks to me, too, because it’s pretty much my state of mind, only without the illusions of invincibility, and with far less time available to start over. When hope is gone, and faith long gone, you struggle just to find a reason to get up and live another day, and resist the death spiral. You just keep busy, but with little incentive or future. I’d be very curious to read the next paragraph, on what the writer found to sustain him/her while waiting out the emptiness and despair. 😀
