I wish I had more friends that I could just cuddle up with and watch a movie. I often crave the feeling of being able to touch and kiss someone without the constant pressure of wondering how they’ll take it or where it will lead to.

genetic defect
I think I didn’t get a cuddling gene or something, this sounds awful to me. I pretty much don’t want to touch people for more than a few seconds unless there is going to be sex involved.

For all I know, I’m the one with the defect. Certainly you’re not alone, I know others with the same attitude towards human touch.
I used to cuddle with Quel all the time. It’s been months now.
I think I sometimes miss that part as much as the sex…

Nah… That’s not weird at all. Sex may be much more of a sudden rush, but I think that cuddling and simple human touch have just as much of an effect on how you feel. There’s even a whole set of nerves outside the normal nervous system that sense the whole range of affectionate styles of touching. They don’t work off of touch, but instead play back and forth between the electrical signals of the two people.
It’s a scientific fact!

I here ya……… it always seems to lead to somewhere I was hoping it wouldn’t go. Sometimes not immediately. It always starts … two good friends just being cuddly. You get more familiar with each other and somehow, down the road, you find you are being fondled. You don’t want to say anything, for fear of changing the friendship forever but every time it happens, you’re uncomfortable and feeling like it’s your own fault for letting it get that way to begin with. Or sometimes, I’m hoping it will go there…. and when it does, I find I wished it hadn’t and it’s really too late to do anything about it without losing a friend and appearing totally psychotic.
Maybe if we start handing out passes:
” this entitles the bearer to cuddle the giver in a nonsexual fashion for one night”
“this entitles the bearer to cuddle the giver in a nonsexual fashion until further notices”
” this entitles the bearer to sexual cuddling with no expectation of intercourse for one night”
