Was talking to greymaiden about how some people are driven to stay busy all the time, and those who aren’t feel they are expected to be as industrious as those who are. It made me think about how guilty I sometimes feel for my sedentary nature. Some of the most satisfying times in my life are those spent in a comfortable chair, on a porch, with a drink and perhaps a friend, doing absolutely nothing and watching the world go by.
Sometimes I look forward to old age, when nobody expects me to do anything more than that.
…and I’ll be sitting there by your side wearing that cute Irish-girl smile.
Even now, if a laidback lifestyle makes you happy, there’s nothing wrong with that. You still have to make a living, but you can do that without beign a crazy busy workaholic.
