There was an attractive young woman in the cafeteria today, and she didn’t appear to be a visitor. At least, she wasn’t being escorted by anyone. This is almost unheard-of. As a government contractor, my company is required by federal regulations to only hire female employees of “…matronly, dowdy, or frumpy appearance” and “…posessed of a suitably dour demeanor consonant with the […] gravity of the work performed…”. This girl even had a nose piercing! Strange things are afoot at StodgeCo…

      Good lord, you’re right! And when she sat down alone at a table, that must have been her ploy to get some poor sex-starved engineer to join her so that she could wile her way into his confidances! It’s a good thing I had my Nerd Shield to protect me. Without that barrier of social retardation preventing me from speaking or making eye contact with her, I might have been putty in her hands! That was a close one…
