Today marks two months that I’ve been walking and/or running nearly every day. I’ve been pushing myself particularly hard the last three days, raising the proportion of running to walking that I do. I’m working on making my wimpy lungs and cardiovascular system the only barrier that I come up against, rather than letting the pain in my legs slow me down.

Went to my second chiropractic appointment today. Apparently my spine is wierd in some places. I’ve got some sort of in-between vertebra that can’t decide which part of my spine it belongs to. Also, I found out why my head projects so far forward. It seems my neck is curved the wrong way. Thankfully, this can be fixed, which makes me happy, because I’ve always disliked that aspect of my body. This chiro stuff has unexpected benefits.

I also found out I’m very very flexible. Doc asked me if I do yoga (nope).

I’ve the 9 April and 10 April Kim Taylor + Over the Rhine performances (at Canal Street Tavern in Dayton, Ohio); the setlists are here and here, respectively. Interested? I can e-mail the mp3s as attachments, forward ysi links, else post you hard copies of the music on disc. πŸ™‚

You were absolutely correct about Kim Taylor! She’s a local Cincinnati girl and I’ve not known her all this time. I now have her band’s EP and shall add her full length album to my collection in near future.

    1. I would love to have those! YSI would probably be best. Thanks!

Kim’s a perfect match for OtR… I think Linford might feel a bit outnumbered up there with the two of them, but I’m not sure he minds… πŸ˜‰

      1. Here is the show to which I was audience:

10.4.05 @ Canal Street Tavern, Dayton:

        Kim Taylor:
        Maggie
        95
        Glove
        I Came To
        Hit Me

        Over the Rhine:
        Faithfully Dangerous
I Want You to Be My Love
        Born
        Spark
        Suitcase
        Jesus in New Orleans
        Firefly
        Drunkard’s Prayer
        Ohio
        Bluer
        Little Did I Know
        [Recitation by Jack Finn]
        Jack’s Valentine
        Orphan Girl
        Lookin’ Forward
        Cruel and Pretty
        Moondance
        All I Need is Everything
        Hush Now (Stella’s Tarantella)

I’ll pass along music from the other performance (I’ve sundry past (years-old) shows, as well. Do say something, should you be interested in having them for yourself.) when I’ve the time to do so. The man I love — and for good reason, e.g., the rest of this sentence — has proposed a double OtR + Kim Taylor billing for the weekend of 25 – 26 June; imagining Linford & him in the same room does happy strange things to my heart & thinking, nevermind how the former feels about having Karin and Kim onstage. πŸ˜‰
